A low heat transfer is given mainly by the number of glass sheets. The three glass-sheet packages insulate better than the two-sheet ones. The total case depth is another important aspect; the specialists recommend a minimum 16-mm distance between the glass sheets.
Therefore, we will recommend you a total 24-mm package for the two glass-sheet package and at least 40 mm for the three glass-sheet package. The larger the total case depth, the higher its insulating capacity will get.
In order to obtain the energetic efficiency desired, the warmedge spacer is bent (we do not use connectors at corner joining). The warmedge spacer‘s role is to separate the glass sheets and also to provide a low humidity level, with the help of the silica gel inside it.
The most usual warmedge spacer is the aluminum warmedge spacer, and it can have different sizes, colours and models. Using the warmedge spacers ”Warm-edge” Thermix®, made of plastic with steel reinforcement, it assures a lower heat transfer by up to 18%, it provides a nice aesthetic aspect, being available in 6 standard colours and it helps avoiding the window condensation.
The insertion of the inactive gas is performed after the primary butylation of the glazed glass package in argon backing for 6 seconds. During this technological process the air inside the glass package will be replaced up to 90% with argon, an inactive gas which will improve the heat transfer of the glass package by up to 55% and it will thus eliminate the risk of condensation between the glass sheets.
Providing the glass you acquired has a continuous warmedge spacer, butylated and with no filling gaskets, the final butylation of the glazed glass package with bi-component will assure a long-term utilization at the highest thermic capacity.
